The Caribbean Local Economic Development Project (CARILED) facilitated the sharing of lessons learned within Local Economic Development projects in the 2nd Biennial Community Development Partnership Forum and Exhibition (CDPF-II) hosted by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago from July 05 – 08, 2015. CARILED supported the participation of delegates from Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica and Saint Lucia. The delegation included 9 presenters, one moderator and 8 general participants. CARILED also sponsored a booth on Local Economic Development in the Expo.
A training workshop for Local Economic Development Officers from seven countries followed the main conference. The workshop, coordinated by CARILED, took place on July 09, 2015, and was co-facilitated by Jamie McEwan, Federation of Canadian Municipalities volunteer from Lake Country, British Colombia, Canada and Ms. Natalia Ramdoo, Project Officer, CARILED.
